Who We Are
All-Together Housing is a not-for-profit housing incorporated and registered charity founded in 2007 in partnership with four other local agencies that recognized the real affordable housing crisis that was developing in the Quinte area. A recent Canada Housing and Mortgage Corporation study ranked Belleville as #4 in Canada for highest rental increases and #3 in Canada as a community in need of core housing.
All-Together Housing is working to address not only the need for affordable housing but to also be a responsible Housing First Partner.
The Lead Agency: All-Together Housing
The Quinte Community and Housing First Partnership is the delivery model for i) creating safe, accessible, affordable and environmentally sustainable housing units and ii) providing support to the vulnerable populations that call these units ‘home’. All-Together is proud to be the lead agency for this innovative, supportive housing model.
Goals of the Partnership Agreement:
Ensure that appropriate clients are referred to the buildings.
Ensure that tenants have the support they need to maintain successful tenancy
Ensure that early identification of individual tenant needs lead to i) a reduction in social isolation, ii) opportunities for assuming leadership roles and III) greater involvement in the decisions that affect tenants within their ‘home’ and community.
Create more affordable housing. The Partnership members believe that we will need to reach a goal of 100+ units to ensure sufficient funding is available through the rental operating revenues to sustain the key position of Partnership Co-ordinator. The Partnership also recognizes that funding outside the rental income may need to continue for a number of years as initial operating revenues for new builds (such as Sidney Place, Great St. James and Deloro) may be insufficient.
Our Mission
To provide and operate non-profit residential accommodation and incidental facilities exclusively for persons of low income; senior citizens primarily of low or modest income; or disabled persons primarily of low or modest income.
All-Together Housing believes that every person has the right to live in dignity: the right to reside in sustainable housing that is safe, decent, affordable, suited to the person’s individual and familial needs, adapted to the person’s physical and mental capabilities, and supportive of the person’s physical and psychological requirements.
Our Values
Partnerships: We build collaborative, cooperative relationships to meet the needs of clients and the community as a whole.
Client-centred: We treat all of our clients in a compassionate, understanding, non-judgemental way, while respecting the client’s right to informed decision-making.
