HOUSING OPTIONS

All-Together Housing was founded in July 2007 as a response to the affordable housing crisis. Our core mandate has been to provide housing options to our region’s most vulnerable, low-income populations. In 2010, we opened our first transitional housing project called Tom’s Place. In 2014, we were donated a large Victorian building by the children of the former mayor of the City of Belleville, which we renovated into 3 permanent housing units and two transitional units.

PARTNERSHIPS FOR SUPPORT AND DEVELOPMENT

We also understood early on that individuals who were homeless needed a strong support network if they were to retain their housing, which is why early on we partnered with Canadian Mental Health Association - HPE (renamed Enrichment Centre for Mental Health, in March 2020), and then later HIV/AIDS Regional Services (HARS) to provide referrals and support to our first housing projects.

In 2017 All-Together partnered with MAPS Development Corporation to help the developers implement an innovative, supportive housing model we had been studying in Toronto at their new build at 450 Sidney Street, Belleville. From there would evolve the Quinte Community and Housing First Partnership which provides safe, permanent, affordable housing along with supports needed to create successful tenancies.

In September 2018, All-Together formed a Joint Venture Agreement with local affordable housing developer Springale Development Inc. with the goal of creating more affordable housing units within Hastings County, including Belleville and Quinte West. The Joint Venture has been the successful respondent to two RFPs issued by Hastings County including one to build 32 units at 111 Great St. James St., Belleville and another to build 15 affordable units for low income seniors in Deloro, Municipality of Marmora and Lake. Recently the team has met with multiple local municipal council delegrations to tour our flagship Great St. James Place and to discuss an ambitious plan to build in at least 5 similar buildings in different locations throughout Hastings County.

In March of 2019, All-Together Housing was asked to co-chair the City of Belleville’s Housing Summit which lead to 7 meaningful outcomes that impact Affordable Rental Housing and lead to a revised Community Improvement Plan. All-Together Housing also plays and active leadership role in the Affordable Housing Work group of the Hastings Prince Edward Poverty Roundtable.

. Bob Cottrell, All-Together Housing and Phil Spry, Springale Development, partner to build affordable homes in the Quinte Region. Their newest venture is Great St. James, a 32 unit development in the heart of Belleville.

Units incorporate universal design, ensuring accessibility for residents with mobility challenges.
