Leadership and Experience

  • Launched Belleville’s first transitional housing for senior men in 2010

  • Renovated 51 Victoria Avenue, home to both transitional and permanent housing options in 2014

  • Named Community Champion for Mental Health and Hope 2015 by Canadian Mental Health Association-HPE (now Enrichment Centre for Mental Health)

  • Nominated for Community Service Award by Hastings Lennox and Addington MP Mike Bossio in 2017

  • Nominated by Community Living Belleville & Area

  • Assumed role in 2018 as Lead agency for Quinte Community and Housing First Partnership, an innovative, supportive housing first model

  • Formed Joint Venture with private housing developer to create two new affordable housing projects, 32 in Belleville and 15 in Marmora. The partnership is featured on the website of Canada’s National Housing Strategy.

  • Co-chaired Belleville’s first Housing Summit in 2019

  • Nominated for Community Partnership Award by Community Living, Belleville and Area June 2019

  • Regular contributor to Affordable Housing Action Network, Affordable Housing Workgroup and HPE Poverty Roundtable

  • Receipient of Community Champion Award 2023 (Bay of Quinte MP Ryan Williams)
